The farther you head upriver, the better your boat’s engine and hull need to be to get you back safely. Our only jet-propulsion model, the River Runner has the thick bottom plate (full-length .190” with added structure and thickness in impact zones) and the engine (230HP Rotax inboard jet) to do just that. Any jet boat can take you into skinny water.  The River Runner is not just any boat—its combination of light weight, safety-feature-rich computer-controlled engine, and overbuilt hull give it the safety of a Hewescraft.

You don’t need a big, deep boat that might only look impressive on a trailer to fish with the legendary Hewescraft safety.  Not every Hewescraft is a 27-foot, deep-v monster meant to pound through white-capped ocean chop.  Sometimes, a Hewescraft is a right-sized, 18-foot jet boat built to go up shallow rivers where no deep-drafting vessel dares to go.

When the best fishing is where most boats can’t go—around rocks, through weeds, and over glacial gravel—the River Runner is the perfect boat to take you there.  No more dinged props, broken skegs, and embarrassed looks—just smooth handling and great fishing.  The River Runner hull, paired with a BRP Rotax jet powerplant, enables you to skim over water as shallow as four inches.  The River Runner is more boat for the times when there’s less water.  Take it where the water is skinny, where few fishermen can go—where it’s conventional-boating hell, but fishing heaven.
